The challenge
Operators of critical infrastructure in the Kingdom run work orders, maintenance history and field reporting on networks that are segmented or air-gapped by design and fall under National Cybersecurity Authority controls. Software deployed there has to work inside that segmentation, and a field application has to keep working while a technician stands in a substation with no signal, then synchronise when the connection returns. The same holds for anything with a model in it: reliability and monitoring have to meet the standard the control room already holds itself to, and a hosted API is not an option when the network it depends on may be the component that has just failed.
